Duration: 1 year minimum - renewable

Role Overview

Under the responsibility of the Subsea Operations Manager, the Subsea Commissioning & Baseline Coordinator will support the development, implementation, commissioning, and start-up of subsea production systems for a major offshore development project.

The role involves close coordination with subsea packages, commissioning teams, inspection and maintenance teams, FPSO stakeholders, and operations personnel to ensure safe and efficient integration, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness of subsea systems.

Key Responsibilities

Subsea Commissioning & Integration

  • Coordinate development and testing activities for subsea systems including:
    • Xmas Trees
    • Production manifolds
    • WAG injection manifolds
    • FLETs
    • ILTs
  • Monitor equipment testing and integration progress
  • Follow up punch lists resulting from testing campaigns
  • Ensure operational requirements and specifications are fulfilled during integration and testing activities
  • Participate in:
    • FAT
    • eFAT
    • SIT
    • IFAT
  • Ensure interface testing between FPSO and subsea systems is executed according to specifications and interface agreements

Operational Readiness & Start-Up:

  • Ensure subsea operating principles and operational needs are captured throughout commissioning activities
  • Support the development of subsea commissioning and operational procedures
  • Coordinate subsea commissioning and start-up activities
  • Support final integration, hook-up, and offshore start-up operations

Maintenance & Inspection Coordination:

  • Coordinate the subsea maintenance and inspection baseline
  • Work with inspection and maintenance teams to support:
    • Maintenance strategies
    • Spare parts definition
    • Operational procedures
  • Coordinate interventions and maintenance programs with offshore support teams

Offshore Operations Support:

During offshore integration and start-up phases, the Service Holder shall:

  • Support engineering and execution of SPS commissioning activities
  • Prepare procedures, tools, consumables, and spare parts required for operations
  • Support subsea start-up operations in coordination with production and performance teams
  • Act as focal point between Company and O&M contractor for subsea activities
  • Coordinate subsea interventions and operational activities between all stakeholders
  • Act as Operating Authority for subsea operations under Permit to Work system

Training & Knowledge Transfer:

  • Develop and deliver training to O&M contractor personnel and production engineers
  • Ensure operational readiness of offshore teams for subsea operations
HSE Responsibilities

The Service Holder is accountable for:

  • Demonstrating exemplary behavior regarding HSE rules and requirements
  • Promoting strong HSE culture across all stakeholders and contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory HSE trainings and procedures
  • Supporting safe execution of commissioning and operational activities
Project Environment

The role is part of a major offshore deepwater development project involving:

  • FPSO integration
  • Subsea production and injection systems
  • Complex commissioning and start-up activities
  • Multidisciplinary project interfaces

The project aims to maximize operational performance while maintaining high technical quality and strict H3SE standards.

Work Conditions
  • Initial location: Paris, France
  • Frequent missions to:
    • Spain
    • Norway
    • Italy
    • Sardinia
    • Malaysia
    • Houston
    • Asia fabrication sites
  • From end 2027 / early 2028:
    • Rotational assignment onboard FPSO for commissioning and start-up support
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification

Experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas projects
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in subsea testing and commissioning
  • Strong experience with:
    • Subsea production systems
    • Commissioning activities
    • Offshore operations support
  • Experience with subsea contractors and operational interfaces preferred
Technical Skills
  • Subsea production equipment commissioning
  • Integrated testing and operational readiness
  • Commissioning database tools and management systems
  • Maintenance and inspection coordination
  • Permit to Work systems and offshore operational procedures
Soft Skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Languages
  • Fluent English required
