Reporting To: Technical Manager (Daily liaison with Drilling Superintendent for operational issues)

Location: Tunisia

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree from a recognized school or equivalent related industry experience.
  • Minimum 15 yeas experience in Well engineering and operations (both office and field experience)
  • Experience in the whole well life cycle
  • Track record of performance improvement & optimization
  • Valid IWCF certificate
  • Can do attitude and performance oriented
  • Lead by example
  • Strong analytical approach to solve technical complex problems
  • Ability to train/ mentor junior engineers

Duties:

  • Promote the client safety culture in all aspects of assigned work
  • Ensure full compliance with policies & procedures and International Oilfield Best Practices
  • Undertake planning and execution of well operations programs safely, efficiently and within budget – in conjunction with production operations & subsurface teams
  • Ensure availability of third-party services equipment and personnel for well operations
  • Responsible for overseeing the design and construction of new wells.
  • Supervise well operations on site whenever required
  • Ensure continuous improvement and optimization of well operations
  • Set performance targets for each operation and prepare the roadmap to meet them
  • Budgeting and cost control in collaboration with finance team
  • Well engineering, design and technical integrity aspects of well projects and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of well projects.
  • Develops well design documentation, drilling programmes and associated documentation
  • Management of Change
  • Prepare SOW for ITTs related to well operations and support contracting / procurement teams in bids evaluation and contracts management
  • Reporting (daily reports, EOWR, AAR…), data management, coordination of workshops (DWOP, WOWOP, Pre-spud, Service Quality Meetings…)
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Can handle multitask simultaneously and deliver within agreed deadlines under minimum supervision
  • Provides support to Drilling Superintendant and Drilling team and provides operational cover as required

Desirable:

  • Good petroleum engineering qualification.
  • Recent exposure to onshore TUNISIAN oil and gas operations.
  • French spoken and written is beneficial.
  • Large Tunisian experience in a multi-cultural environment would prove beneficial.

  • Well Operations Programs (drilling, completions and well interventions)
  • Well Operations Optimization
  • A well drilled and completed in accordance with the program and in a safe efficient manner
  • Comprehensive Lessons Learnt database
  • Daily, weekly and Adhoc reports.
  • Service Company job tickets verified and signed
  • IADC reports checked and signed
  • Tendering and Service Quality Meetings
