Preservation Engineer

Position Preservation Engineer

Contract Duration 1 Year

Rotation 6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

Working Hours 10 Hours per Day

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor preservation programs for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping equipment during construction, storage, and pre-commissioning phases.
  • Ensure all preservation activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, vendor recommendations, and company procedures.
  • Prepare preservation procedures, schedules, reports, and tracking documentation.
  • Coordinate preservation activities with construction, warehouse, commissioning, and QA/QC teams.
  • Monitor storage conditions and ensure proper handling, protection, and maintenance of equipment and materials on site.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify preservation compliance and identify potential risks or deterioration.
  • Maintain preservation records, logs, and databases for all equipment and systems.
  • Ensure preservation tags, checklists, and documentation are updated and properly maintained.
  • Raise non-conformities and follow up corrective actions when preservation requirements are not met.
  • Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives regarding preservation requirements and technical recommendations.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning teams during equipment handover activities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and site procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Preservation Engineer in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of preservation methods for rotating equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, piping, and static equipment.
  • Familiarity with vendor documentation, preservation standards, and commissioning requirements.
  • Experience with preservation tracking systems and documentation management.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and equipment manuals.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC processes and HSE standards.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Rotation schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • 10-hour working days.
