Operations Liaison Coordinator (Multiple)

Key Accountabilities and tasks

  • Coordinate/track and ensure that all escorts are correctly covered for the movement of expats.
  • Mitigate and plan accordingly any changes they may arise due to client field annual and quarterly business objectives thus affecting the security profile in the AOR. Highlight any planned field activities that could be impacted by Liaison or security related issues.
  • Ensure the delivery of all contractor security services as per the client directives, including QA/QC all client related systems in his specific AOR
  • Produce written reports for the Liaison function.
  • Following the established client security structure liaison with site local security functions as necessary and develop relationships with all relevant business units and their activities by providing field security support and planning, including Travel risk assessments and security input to Journey Management planning.
  • Regularly update visitors and senior staff on changes in the security situation. Understand and be fully versed with the client’s transportation policy and road safety stipulations and apply them accordingly. Perform any other related assignment that will be allocated by the Line Manager from time to time.
  • Provide a direct operational role in supplying executive assurance, support, guidance and advice to the SSI in conjunction with the site OLS to ensure that all client project internal and external security standards are achieved.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop and execute consequent security assurance plans.
  • Continually asses the threat and mitigate accordingly in regards to Escorts and visits carried out in the AOR.

Operating environment

Positions are located in Client sites. The position holder shall ensure practices and work routines in accordance with government regulations, company processes and procedures and ethical standards. OLC positions will be added / removed by the Operator as operations dictate.

External contacts (i.e. outside )

IOC peers, Emergency Services Companies, Contractors and Members of the General Public.

Framework, boundaries and decision making

Work is carried out based on Client policies, procedures, standard practices and an ethical business stance. Clear boundaries and reporting lines are in place to ensure Client requirements are met and also promote “Best practice” within the IOC community.

Required knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies

Basic Qualifications & Knowledge for the position include

  • Preferable with academic education in Risk and security management or related professional area, practical experience can outweigh.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in corporate risk management and security management.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with intelligence work and analysis as well as physical security systems
  • Working experience from Algeria and North Africa would be highly valued.

Experience and Skills required for the position include

  • Minimum of 10 years in risk and security management, or equivalent.
  • Experience in instruction, training and /or mentoring.
  • Experience of leadership and management including team and personal development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluent in written and spoken English; French language skills are a requirement for the position, Arabic language skills are desirable.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments and relate with all levels of staff.
  • Experience with instruction, mentoring and training.

Personal Qualities required for the position include

  • Highly committed and hardworking security professional with an adaptable approach.
  • Ability operationally in a team or independently
  • Reliable person that can work in a high pressure environment including long working hours.
  • Good communication skills and flexibility to work with local internal security units and local armed forces elements.
  • Continuous professional development is a key element in developing the team moving forward and this would be an expectation for any potential candidat
