Operational & Process Safety Engineer

Job Description RichThe Operational & Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for overseeing process safety within the company. This role will involve developing safety protocols, implementing safety measures, and conducting regular safety audits.

Key responsibility

• To support the implementation of a Process Safety Management System, from inception of project scope definition to full completion.
• The Project scope covers a Process Safety Site Assessment Program and the Delivery and Implementation of a Prioritised Plan to Address Identified Gaps.
• The Operational & Process Safety Engineer supports the scheduling, execution, cost control, quality control,progress control and reporting, project accounting and administration activities involved in the Project. The incumbent will supervise Contractor’s compliance with the Project Contract and its Scope.

Role responsibilities cover but not be limited to

• Participate in the preparation and follow-up of the budget for the Project.
• Supervise preparation of the Project documentation.
• Coordinate preparation of administrative procedures for the Project.
• Provide input into the monthly progress report for JV's Management Committees.
• Monitor the project scope and manage changes.
• Participate in meetings within JV’s Management Committees for the follow-up of the Project progress.
• Champions a positive process safety leadership culture onsite and Continuous improvement.
• Supports process safety studies onsite including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPAs, SIL studies.
• Supports and provides input into incident investigation onsite.
• Provides support to ensure timely closeout of outstanding safety study actions at JV.
• Promotes and provides guidance on the implementation of changes to existing procedures e.g. MOC,HAZOP, LOPA
