Mechanical Static QA/QC Inspector

Position Mechanical Static QA/QC Inspector

Contract Duration 1 Year

Rotation 6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

Working Hours 10 Hours per Day

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform QA/QC inspections on mechanical static equipment and piping systems during construction, installation, and pre-commissioning phases.
  • Ensure all works comply with project specifications, approved procedures, and international codes and standards.
  • Inspect static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, boilers, and structural steel installations.
  • Verify piping installation activities including fit-up, welding, supports, flange management, and reinstatement.
  • Conduct inspections and witness testing activities such as hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, flushing, and pressure testing.
  • Review and validate inspection reports, test packs, weld maps, and quality documentation dossiers.
  • Ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and project requirements.
  • Identify and report non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, and subcontractor teams during inspections and site activities.
  • Participate in walkdowns, punch listing, and mechanical completion activities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations during all inspection activities.
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records and provide daily inspection and progress reports.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Inspector in mechanical static equipment and piping systems within oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of piping and static equipment installation, inspection, and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards related to mechanical works.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and quality documentation.
  • Experience in hydrotesting and mechanical completion activities is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Mechanical engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Rotation schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • 10-hour working days.
  • Site-based position in an industrial or construction environment.
