LNG Head of Technical Training

• Location: Muscat (Oman) with frequent visits on sites

• Status: Residential (5 days per week)

Missions/Service Dimensions

The Head of Technical Training will oversee all aspects of the Technical Training Department in the Project, ensuring alignment with the company’s transformation strategy and operational excellence. This role includes managing the day-to-day operations of technical training, ensuring personnel capabilities and safety during the production phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Technical Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
  • Develop and maintain training programs, manuals, and course structures
  • Ensure training programs comply with LNG regulations and industry best practices
  • Manage short and long-term training roster, ensuring department meets learning demands
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training programs
  • Supervise the Competency Development Framework for technicians and operators
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for operational staff

Additional Responsibilities

HSE

  • Demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding HSE policies and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSSE regulations as per Oman law.

Personnel Development & Competency

  • Develop On-the-Job Training (OJT) Framework and oversee its implementation during operations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and competency assessments for technicians and operators.

General

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and specifications for electrical and instrumentation topics.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required by management.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education

  • Engineering Degree or a Master’s (required for immigration purposes)

Experience

  • 10-12+ years of LNG experience, with at least 5 years in technical training.
  • Expertise in Engineering Training and development, including certification as a Trainer and Examiner.
  • Knowledge of engineering regulatory requirements and industry standards.
