Context & Environment
The Absheron Conventional Gas & Condensates field is located offshore Azerbaijan Republic in the Caspian Sea in 500 meters depth, at about 100km southeast of Baku, 25km north-east of Shah Deniz field and 34km south of Oil Rocks production and processing facilities. The project aims at supplying natural gas for both domestic market via Sangachal main facilities (condensate) and for international export market via the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP).
Missions / Service Dimensions
The service is starting from the Absheron Full Field Development (FFD) FEED phase sanction with possibilities to move to EPC phase. The service holder shall support the execution of the Absheron FFD FEED with regards to flow assurance studies including optimization in the design. The service holder will perform this work in accordance with COMPANY and Project rules, guidelines and procedures
Main Activities
The service holder must possess strong experience in pipeline flow assurance and hydraulic calculations. She or He must has been working as a pipeline simulation engineer. Knowledge of project engineering practices, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications is a must.
The Service holder shall:
- Proven Experience in steady-state and transient hydraulic analyses using industry standard software like SPS, PIPENET and PIPESIM.
- Have the capability to use other Process tools like HYSYS, PVTSIM, and Multiflash.
- Review and approve flow assurance deliverables (Design Basis, simulations, pipeline design calculation…)
- Experience in performing surge analysis on liquid lines using simulation tools like SPS.
- Have full capability to design surge protection systems.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience in single and multiphase pipelines hydraulic simulation.
- Familiar with applicable regulations, codes and standards.
- Work independently and create a positive work environment. Provide technical leadership to ensure that applicable procedures and standards are followed

- Qualification: Lead discipline
- Languages: English
- Professional Experience: More than 15 years
- Experience within project: More than 15 years
