Job Summary

We are currently seeking experienced Insulators and Lagging Technicians to join our team for projects in the Oil & Gas Downstream sector. The ideal candidates will bring a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in industrial insulation and lagging, particularly within refineries or petrochemical plant environments. This position involves both construction and commissioning responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials to a wide range of equipment, including pipes, tanks, ducts, and vessels.
  • Apply and secure insulation and lagging materials using approved tools, adhesives, and fastening methods.
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal cladding over insulated surfaces to protect from environmental exposure and damage.
  • Conduct inspections and perform repairs or replacements of damaged insulation and lagging systems.
  • Select appropriate insulation types and thicknesses based on temperature, process requirements, and material specifications.
  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with industry safety standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other craft workers during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and follow site housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial insulation, lagging, and sheet metal work in refineries or petrochemical plants.
  • Proficiency in the fabrication and erection of insulation cladding, including aluminum and stainless-steel sheeting.
  • Knowledge of insulation materials (e.g., mineral wool, calcium silicate, ceramic fiber) and application techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and insulation schedules.
  • Familiarity with installation of ceramic refractory linings is a plus.
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures in industrial work environments.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
