Instrumentation Supervisor

Position Instrumentation Supervisor

Contract Duration 1 Year

Rotation 6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

Working Hours 10 Hours per Day

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning activities on site.
  • Ensure all instrumentation works are executed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, and international standards.
  • Lead and control site instrumentation teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and quality execution of works.
  • Supervise installation of instruments including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, junction boxes, tubing, and associated systems.
  • Oversee loop checking, calibration, functional testing, and pre-commissioning/commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated system readiness.
  • Review and interpret instrumentation drawings such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and datasheets.
  • Ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), QA/QC requirements, and project procedures.
  • Identify technical issues and provide on-site solutions to maintain progress and quality standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and promote safe working practices.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, manpower allocation, and site activity updates.
  • Participate in inspections, walkdowns, punch listing, and system completion activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Instrumentation Supervisor in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, installation methods, and commissioning procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience in loop checking, calibration, and functional testing activities.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and HSE standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with multinational teams and subcontractors.
  • Instrumentation or electrical engineering background preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Rotation schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • 10-hour working days.
