Instrument QA/QC Inspector

Contract Conditions

  • Duration 6 months
  • Rotation 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off (6×2)
  • Working Hours 10 hours per day
  • Location Skikda, Algeria
  • Mandatory Only local candidates from Skikda will be considered.

Job Summary

The Instrument QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all instrumentation installation, testing, inspection, and quality control activities comply with project specifications, approved procedures, international standards, and client requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, reviewing quality documentation, and supporting the successful completion of construction and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections of instrumentation installation works in accordance with project specifications and approved procedures.
  • Verify the installation of field instruments, control panels, junction boxes, impulse tubing, cable trays, and instrument cabling.
  • Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures.
  • Conduct inspections for instrument calibration, loop checks, continuity tests, and functional testing.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, and client quality requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities and verify that work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Participate in Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning inspections.
  • Coordinate inspections with the client, consultants, and construction teams.
  • Maintain quality records and ensure all documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Promote compliance with HSE policies and quality management systems throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as an Instrument QA/QC Inspector in construction, EPC, or oil & gas projects.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC standards, inspection procedures, and international codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
