HSE Advisor

Purpose of the Role

• Ensure understanding and implementation of HSE policies across all work areas
• Enforce application of all relevant referentials (directives, standards, norms, etc.)
• Advise site operational managers on HSE practices, standards, and regulations
• Promote a strong HSE culture at all work sites
• Contribute to drafting, implementing, and evaluating HSE procedures, instructions, and safety rules
• Conduct various HSE studies (hazard studies, environmental impact assessments, etc.)
• Analyze work environment conditions (noise, vibrations, thermal comfort, etc.)
• Participate in new and revamping projects
• Take part in internal HSE audits
• Define specifications for the selection of safety equipment (e.g., PPE)
• Develop prevention and environmental management plans
• Consolidate HSE reporting, analyze statistics, and prepare summary reports
• Assist in developing and simulating emergency response plans
• Identify HSE training needs and define the related activity budgets
• Participate in interdepartmental HSE meetings
• Build and maintain HSE data repositories
• Develop awareness-raising materials
• Organize safety communication and information campaigns
• Ensure full enforcement of HSE instructions, regulations, and standards

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Engineering degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical or Process Engineering
• Or a postgraduate specialization (PGS) or Master’s degree in HSE

Additional Training

• Training in safety, regulation, environment, and first aid
• Industrial safety specialization in the hydrocarbons sector
• Certified First Aid training
• Emergency management training

Professional Experience

• 15 to 20+ years of experience in industrial safety
