Context & Environment

The Company has been producing biofuels for over 20 years and is the leading distributor in Europe.

The biorefinery will produce 500,000 tonnes/year of HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) biodiesel. It will be France's first world-scale biorefinery, and one of the largest in Europe.

The biorefinery has been specifically designed to process all types of 100% sustainable vegetable oils and reprocessed waste (animal fats, cooking oils, residual oils, etc.) in a circular economy approach. All the oils used will be certified sustainable according to the criteria defined by the European Union, and TotalEnergies has set up a reinforced control system for sustainability and respect for Human Rights.

The biorefinery will produce a high-quality biofuel, HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil).

HVO blends perfectly with diesel, with no impact on fuel quality or engines, and no incorporation limit. The HVO production unit at the La Mède platform will use a French technology developed by IFP Energies Nouvelles and marketed by its subsidiary Axens.

Missions / Service Dimensions

The service holder shall develop and maintain good relationships with Contractors, Partners, Vendors and Project Team. The service holder shall support and coordinate efficiently contributions from Engineering team and efficient communication with EPsCm contractor team.

Main Activities

• The service holders must possess strong experience in Onshore Civil engineering and be able to identify, control and manage risks related to her or his scope of work and highlight any opportunities. This includes adhering to the Company Code of Conduct, Vision, Values and Behaviours, as supported by the Safe System of Working including Accountability of Safety.

• The service holder shall manage the detail engineering activities performed by:
  • The EPsCm CONTRACTOR for Detailed Design of HVO Gas Plant project
  • The Thermal Oxidizer vendor, including integration and interfaces management,
  • The service holder shall also manage the integration of the BioSMR including interfaces management.
  • The Company representative shall be the HVO Pas Plant project Manager.
  • The engineering services management oversees supervising Project engineering team composed of discipline -engineers.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Expertise: Engineer graduate, or equivalent
• Languages of the service: French AND English
• Expertise: Minimum 10 years of expertise in engineering.
• This shall include a proven expertise in project engineering, Oil and Gas, refining processes, process safety management and brownfield projects
• Expertise within project: FEED and detailed design, knowledge of Company referential would be plus.
