Electrical – Field Engineer

Position Electrical Field Engineer

Contract Duration 1 Year

Rotation 6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

Working Hours 10 Hours per Day

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support for all electrical construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate electrical works in accordance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, and applicable standards.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings including single line diagrams, layouts, schematics, and cable routing plans.
  • Support site execution activities such as cable pulling, termination, testing, equipment installation, and energization.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues on site.
  • Monitor daily progress and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedule.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including loop checks, continuity tests, and functional testing.
  • Identify and resolve site technical issues and propose effective engineering solutions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company procedures.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and technical documentation as required.
  • Participate in inspections, punch listing, and system completion activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Field Engineer in industrial, oil & gas, power, or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and site coordination activities.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and HSE standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural and fast-paced site environments.
  • Electrical engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Rotation schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • 10-hour working days.
  • Site-based position in an industrial or construction environment.
