• Status: Residential (5d/8h) & Rotational (28d/12h)

Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Missions/Service Dimensions

The service holder will develop drilling & completion fluids and cement programs, optimizing expenditures and costs for services, applying the highest standards of engineering well integrity, safety and environmental protection.

Main Responsibilities

Technical integrity, efficiency of mud, cement and completion fluids.

- Waste management according to local legislation and Company policy

  • Geology and Reservoir Departments
  • Logistic Department

Services Companies

Main Activities

  • Preparing drilling/completion fluids and cementing programs including all information in accordance to Company’s standards and minimum requirements with particular attention to well integrity, best available technologies, operational safety, and environmental protection procedures.
  • Preparing estimated cost breakdown for the well operations activity with regards to products/chemical and services costs.
  • Well Operations follow-up on daily basis, making recommendations to avoid operational problems. Assisting the Drilling SPT for specific tasks.
  • Managing waste disposal to protect the environment and in accordance with local regulations and Company procedures.
  • Preparing End of Well Report, collecting lessons learnt.

Carrying out specific studies, reports as per specific request from Well Engineering Manager.

Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of tenders

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Required Experience: at least 15 years in D&C Fluids Engineering and 8 years in the position

Languages: English intermediate level (minimum)

Other Observations

  • Duties to be carried out in compliance with Company Code of Ethics and Internal Control System.
