Contract Engineer

Location: Paris (with possible business trips to London or Cairo)

Contract Type: Contractual

Start Date: Mid-May 2026

Duration: 3-6 months (initial), renewable depending on project needs

Working Arrangement: Flexible (Remote / On-site hybrid)

Travel: Occasional travel to London and Cairo (approx. once per month)

• Ensure contractor compliance with FEED contractual obligations
• Monitor contractor performance against contract terms
• Identify deviations and support mitigation actions
• Review contractual deliverables and ensure alignment with project requirements

EPC Preparation & Tendering

• Contribute to preparation of EPC tender documentation including:
  • Instructions to Tender (ITT)
  • Technical and commercial documentation
• Participate in:
  • Bid evaluation and analysis
  • Clarification of contractual terms
  • Negotiation processes with contractors

Contract Administration

• Support contract execution and administration activities
• Assist in managing contractual correspondence and documentation
• Ensure alignment between contractual commitments and project execution

Stakeholder Coordination

• Interface with:
  • Project Management Team
  • Engineering teams
  • Contractors and consortium partners
• Support coordination between FEED and EPC phases

Risk & Compliance Management

• Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with Company standards and contractual frameworks
• Support dispute prevention and resolution where required

• Ensure all activities comply with Company HSE policies and regulatory requirements
• Promote adherence to ethical standards and contract governance principles

Education

• Degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or related discipline

Experience

• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in contract management within Oil & Gas projects
• Strong experience in:
  • FEED phase contract management
  • EPC contract preparation and negotiation
• Experience working on LNG, gas, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of:
  • Contract management processes
  • FEED and EPC project phases
  • Tendering and procurement processes
• Experience in:
  • Bid evaluation and commercial analysis
  • Contract negotiation and drafting
  • Risk and claim management

• Ability to manage complex contractual interfaces
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle and execution strategies
• Experience working in multinational project environment

• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work in multicultural and cross-functional teams

• Fluent English required
• French is an advantage
