commissioning Machinery Supervisor – (Night Shift)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rotation: 6/2

Working Hours: 10 hours per day

Accommodation: Provided according to company procedures

Salary Range: 250,000 - 300,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise night shift commissioning activities related to rotating and mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and start-up activities for machinery systems.
  • Ensure safe execution of night shift operations in compliance with HSE procedures and permit-to-work systems.
  • Monitor equipment readiness, alignment, lubrication, flushing, vibration monitoring, and operational testing activities.
  • Supervise commissioning activities for pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, fans, and auxiliary systems.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure smooth commissioning progress.
  • Review commissioning procedures, test records, and system readiness documentation.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and operational issues during commissioning and start-up.
  • Participate in punch listing, system walk-downs, and close-out activities.
  • Prepare and maintain daily shift reports, progress updates, and incident reports.
  • Interface with vendors, specialists, contractors, and client representatives during night shift activities.
  • Ensure proper handover between day and night shift teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Rotating Equipment, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery commissioning, mechanical operations, or rotating equipment maintenance.
  • Proven experience in Oil & Gas plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas processing plants, or power plants.
  • Previous experience in commissioning and start-up activities is required.
  • Experience in supervisory roles and night shift operations is preferred.
  • EPC project experience is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and machinery systems.
  • Experience with commissioning activities including:
    • Equipment alignment
    • Lubrication systems
    • Flushing and cleaning
    • Vibration monitoring
    • Functional testing
    • Start-up support
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • P&IDs
    • Mechanical drawings
    • Equipment datasheets
    • Vendor manuals
    • Commissioning procedures
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and HSE standards.
  • Basic understanding of instrumentation and electrical interfaces related to machinery systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for rotating equipment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and supervision skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently during night shift operations and under pressure.
  • Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
