Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rotation: 6/2

Working Hours: 10 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate instrumentation construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities on site.
  • Ensure all work is executed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Oversee loop checking, calibration, functional testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
  • Verify instrument installation, hook-up, and wiring in accordance with approved drawings and procedures.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, construction, and operations teams during commissioning activities.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and monitor progress.
  • Supervise punch listing activities, follow-up actions, and close-out of outstanding items.
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, and progress updates.
  • Support system start-up, troubleshooting, and handover activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians, assistants, and junior supervisors.
  • Ensure commissioning tools, calibration equipment, and documentation are properly maintained and controlled.
  • Participate in commissioning meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation commissioning or pre-commissioning activities.
  • Proven experience in Oil & Gas plants, refineries, gas processing facilities, or power plants.
  • Previous EPC project experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in supervisory roles within commissioning operations is preferred.
  • Site commissioning experience in Algeria or similar environments is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • P&IDs
    • Loop diagrams
    • Wiring diagrams
    • Instrument datasheets
    • Cause & Effect charts
  • Experience with loop testing, calibration procedures, and commissioning checklists.
  • Basic understanding of DCS, PLC, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in using calibration and testing equipment such as multimeters, loop calibrators, and communicators.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as IEC and ISA.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet commissioning deadlines.
