Commissioning Instrument Superintendent

Rotation and Work Organization

  • Rotation Schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
  • Working Hours: 10 hours per day

Contract Conditions

  • Contract Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise instrumentation commissioning activities on site.
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and startup activities for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Ensure all instruments, analyzers, control valves, and control systems are tested and commissioned according to project requirements.
  • Supervise loop checks, calibration activities, functional testing, and system integration.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, construction, and maintenance teams during commissioning phases.
  • Manage instrumentation technicians, contractors, and vendor representatives.
  • Review and approve commissioning procedures, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues during startup and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company standards, and quality procedures.
  • Support system handover, performance testing, and final acceptance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience in instrumentation commissioning within industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, or heavy industry projects.
  • Strong knowledge of field instruments, DCS, PLC, SCADA, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in commissioning environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
