Role Overview
The FPSO Lead HVAC Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design review, procurement follow-up, construction support, testing, and commissioning of all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for a major FPSO development.
The role ensures HVAC systems comply with project specifications, international standards, HSE requirements, and operational performance objectives throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Engineering
- Lead all HVAC engineering activities for the FPSO package.
- Review HVAC philosophies, calculations, layouts and technical documentation.
- Validate contractor engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and Company specifications.
- Support technical reviews and design optimization.
Construction & Commissioning
- Monitor fabrication and installation activities.
- Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate resolution of technical issues during construction.
- Ensure mechanical completion and handover readiness.
Interface Management
- Coordinate with:
- Process Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation & Control
- Marine Systems
- Safety Engineering
HSE
- Promote HSE excellence throughout engineering and construction activities.
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with hazardous area requirements and fire & gas philosophies.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical or HVAC Engineering)
- Minimum 15 years' experience in HVAC engineering.
- Minimum 10 years on FPSO or offshore production facilities.
Languages
- Fluent English.
