Overview
The Tool Pusher is a key position in the oil and gas industry, responsible for managing the operations of the drilling rig and ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong leader with technical knowledge of drilling equipment and processes, along with a keen understanding of safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Coordination Oversee and coordinate the activities of the drill crew, ensuring smooth and safe operation of the drilling rig.
- Communication Liaise with other departments and contractors to maintain efficient operations and ensure all aspects of the drilling process are aligned.
- Equipment Maintenance Ensure that all drilling equipment is well-maintained and operational, conducting routine checks and inspections.
- Safety Inspections Perform regular safety inspections of the rig, ensuring compliance with all industry regulations and company safety standards.
- Problem-Solving Quickly address any issues or challenges that arise during operations, using strong decision-making skills to maintain the flow of work.
Qualifications
- Experience At least 10-14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a thorough understanding of drilling operations and equipment.
- Skills Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills. Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge In-depth knowledge of drilling processes, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols in the oil and gas industry.
