Operations Liaison Coordinator (Multiple)

Primary Role

The Operations Liaison Coordinator (OLC) is responsible for ensuring that the Liaison Team’s operational practices align with th company standards and shareholder expectations. The OLC supports the Site OLS and may represent the Liaison Team in project management and planning meetings.

Key Responsibilities

General Duties Across All OLC Roles (TGN Ops / ISG Ops / HMN Ops / HMD OLC / Rig OLC)

  • Coordinate and monitor escort operations to ensure secure movement of expatriates.
  • Adapt plans and provide mitigation strategies in response to evolving the company field business objectives that may impact Liaison operations.
  • Oversee the delivery and quality assurance of contractor-provided security services within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Produce written reports for the Liaison function.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with relevant business units to provide security planning support, including travel risk assessments and journey management input.
  • Keep senior staff and visitors updated on security developments and ensure adherence to the company transportation policies and road safety regulations.
  • Provide operational guidance and support to the SSI in coordination with SH ASI to meet internal and external the company security standards.
  • Continuously assess threat levels and adjust expatriate escort strategies accordingly.

HMD Escort-Specific Duties

  • Coordinate secure transit of expatriates between the secure zone, airport, and other HMD sites.
  • Ensure the safe and secure movement of expatriates entering and exiting HMD via the airport hub, maintaining duty of care at all times.
  • Work in close collaboration with SH ASI to ensure:
    • Daily QA/QC of drivers
    • Prompt reporting of non-conformities to SH ASI and Liaison supervisors
  • Act as the On-Scene Commander for any incidents occurring outside Base 24 Février, reporting directly to the Incident Management Team (IMT) when required.

Operating Environment

Positions are based in Hassi Messaoud (HMD), In Salah Gas (ISG D3), Hassi Mounir (HMN), HRM, TGN, and Algiers. All work is to be performed in line with Algerian government regulations, the company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Work is governed by the company standards, policies, and ethical business practices. Clear reporting lines are in place, with a strong emphasis on promoting operational best practices and maintaining security compliance within the IOC framework.

Qualifications and Required Competencies

Education & Knowledge

  • Academic qualifications in Risk/Security Management preferred; however, substantial practical experience may substitute.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate risk management and physical security systems.
  • Strong analytical background in intelligence and threat monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Algerian and North African operational environments is highly desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in risk and security management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, and training.
  • Previous exposure to instruction and development of operational teams.
  • Experience working in multicultural and high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English and French (required); Arabic language skills are an asset.
