Wireline Operator Role:
Wireline operators are responsible for operating specialised wireline equipment to perform logging operations and other services in oil and gas wells. They set up, operate and maintain the tools and equipment needed to perform downhole operations, such as testing, perforating, setting plugs and retrieving samples. They also train and supervise crew members and monitor performance.
Wireline Operator Duties:
- Operating wireline units and related equipment
- Performing maintenance and repairs on wireline units and related equipment
- Monitoring wireline operations
- Providing technical advice on wireline operations
- Maintaining safety standards
Wireline Operator Requirements
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings and instructions.
- Proficient in fault finding and rectification.
- Competence in operating equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience
- 2-6 years in wireline operations.
Certificates
- Pressur Control Equipment (PCE) Certificate
