MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

REPORTS TOIT CO- MANAGERS

IT Network LAN/WANNSATNolP support during development phase

• Maintains network performance and provide support to:

o Temporary construction camp

o Temporary drilling base

o Three (3) drilling rigs site.

• Execute PM (Preventative Maintenance) & CM (Corrective Maintenance) based maintenance procedures to maximize network and servers availability.

• Provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure (e.g. switches, Routers, access points, VoIP & TolP technology, etc.)

• Introduces best practices into software and ITC infrastructure design and management

delivery

• Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. In order to identify requirements, improve design and

minimize maintenance needs of the network and telecommunication infrastructure

(LAN/WAN/WIRELESS/ VoIP} required to support the temporary camps, drilling

operations and construction activities on site .

• Participate in the definition and implementation of network security

policies, strategies, and procedures to guarantee data integrity. Make recommendations on

security policies, procedures and standards for security systems and equipment

implementation, maintenance, repair and life cycle management

• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.

• Network Security:

• Administratively

ensures that the networking and communication requirements of other departments

within the company are met and that the Department complies with the policies

and procedures approved by the company.

■ Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.

■ Coordinate the Telecom Service Companies, in order to ensure network and telecommunication services availability

at all locations (camps, well location and temporary bases).

■ Endorse and approve technical aspects of procurement of equipment &

services including preparation of requisitions, call for bids (CFB) documentation,

technical bid evaluation, vendor data review, scope development and management,

and problem solving.

■ Assist in the analysis of business requirements and evaluation of hardware, software and network capabilities and compatibility to determine

optimum IT solutions and configurations. To be integrated on the EPC Contractors design and installation strategy.

■ Final Design and Implement the clinet’s

topology and Security network.

■ Defining and setting security policies

■ Network Perimeter Security

■ Secure DMZ for external services

■ Security Topology/Interface with SCADA systems

■ Multicast routing and dynamic routing (OSPF & BGP),

■ Quality of Service (QoS). Design QoS WAN links for critical traffic.

■ WAN links backup solution with multi-links, active-active architecture.

■ Provide detailed input related to design, implementation and utilization with regard to:

■ LAN and/or PA coverage,

■ CCTV data traffic analyses and distributed storage,

■ Network Bandwidth allocations.

■ Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained from EPC Contractors. Track, manage, and record

contemplated Telecommunication and Network Architecture design and scope

changes (change notices and change orders)

■ Elaborate and update maintenance documentation, which includes configuration, diagrams and topology.

MAIN CHALLENGES

o Demonstrated experience of Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewall configuration. Experience configuring VPNs for remote access.

o Proven Knowledge, and expertise, of Unified Communications systems:

1. Including Voice over IP solutions.

2. SBC, Session Border Controllers

3. SIP Trunks

4. H323 Gateways

o Control and direct multiple activities, managing both size and complexity.

o Experience and demonstrated ability to work with teams of multidisciplinary and multicultural.

o Academic training in information systems and communications.

o Solid knowledge in communications system, design, security network and VoIP.

o Innovative and results-oriented in the design, development, and delivery of cost-effective and benefits-driven technology solutions.

o Ability to work on different geographic

areas and on a multicultural environment. Capacity to understand and adapt to

different culture values and customs when working with multicultural teams.

o Able to adjust priorities in a changing

work environment. Must be able to work without direct supervision. Planning and

organizing

o Capacity to develop good working

relationships with superiors & work colleagues within the organization.

o Excellent communication skills are required to function on a multi-cultural environment.

o Works independently except for major decisions which require review and consultation with the Member of the IT management Team. A high degree of Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, and Engineering Management Judgment is required.

REQUIREMENTS

o Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in an Information Technology related field with one or more courses in current technology. Preferable with specialization in Telecommunication and Data Networks.

o Minimum of 10 years' experience as an ITC Engineer supporting large sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies. Demonstrated experience of Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewall configuration. Experience configuring VPNs for remote access, Experience in backup and disaster recovery.

o Experience on the Oil and Gas industry

o High Proficiency in spoken & written English (native) is a must Desirable fluent in spoken & written French

o Knowledge and understanding of Arabic and Spanish languages are an advantage

o Mandatory: Minimum Cisco

Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP)

and Cisco Voice Over IP (CVOICE).

o Desirable certifications: Cisco Voice Gateways and Gatekeepers (GWGK), Cisco Quality of Service (QoS) and Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks - BCMSN, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE).

o Ability to travel as required
