Role Overview

The Subsea Delivery Manager is responsible for managing the completion of Subsea Production System (SPS) fabrication, qualification, testing, delivery, and handover to the relevant project work packages throughout a major deepwater offshore development.

The role ensures the successful execution of all SPS delivery activities while coordinating interfaces with Drilling & Completion (D&C), Umbilicals, Flowlines & Risers (UFR), Field Operations, Project Controls, Contractors, and Corporate Technical Authorities. The position also provides technical leadership in troubleshooting complex engineering and fabrication issues while ensuring compliance with Company specifications, project schedule, quality, and H3SE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

SPS Delivery Management

  • Manage the completion of SPS fabrication, qualification, testing, and delivery activities.
  • Ensure timely handover of SPS equipment to the relevant project work packages.
  • Support aftermarket activities associated with delivered SPS equipment.
  • Monitor overall delivery performance against project objectives, schedule, quality, and budget.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead the resolution of complex engineering, fabrication, qualification, and testing issues affecting SPS equipment.
  • Investigate technical problems and identify appropriate mitigation measures and engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all corrective actions are implemented while maintaining project schedule integrity.
  • Provide technical guidance on SPS engineering and operational matters.

Contractor & Vendor Management:

  • Monitor contractor performance against project KPIs.
  • Support contractor engineering and fabrication teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Promote continuous improvement and technical optimization throughout fabrication and testing activities.
  • Monitor technical risks and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are implemented.

Interface Management:

  • Coordinate interfaces with:
    • Drilling & Completion (D&C)
    • Umbilicals, Flowlines & Risers (UFR)
    • Field Operations
    • Project Controls
    • Corporate Technical Specialists
    • Other Project Work Packages
  • Support resolution of multidisciplinary interface issues.
  • Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.

Qualification, Testing & Installation Support:

  • Support qualification, testing, tooling, tie-in, and integration activities.
  • Assist with mobilization of SPS equipment and installation tooling.
  • Ensure testing activities are completed in accordance with project schedule and technical requirements.
  • Support offshore installation readiness.

Change Management & Project Controls:

  • Work closely with the Project Controls team to:
    • Evaluate technical change orders
    • Support claims and counterclaims
    • Prepare technical documentation for change approval
    • Contribute to partner and concessionaire approval dossiers
  • Monitor project risks and opportunities throughout execution.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Report technical concerns and project risks to the Subsea Manager.
  • Monitor progress of risk mitigation plans.
  • Gather and communicate lessons learned.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the Subsea delivery organization.
HSE Responsibilities
  • Promote exemplary H3SE leadership throughout all project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Company H3SE policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Promote Company Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Anti-Corruption principles.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are fully integrated into engineering, fabrication, testing, and installation activities.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum 20 years of professional experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in major offshore project execution involving Subsea Production Systems.
  • Extensive expertise in:
    • SPS engineering
    • SPS fabrication
    • Qualification & testing
    • Offshore installation support
    • Deepwater subsea developments
  • Strong knowledge of UFR and Drilling & Completion interfaces.
