The Senior Contract Engineer will operate within the Global Procurement team and act as a transversal contract leader across entities, including Legal, Business Lines, Technical, and Projects. This position requires extensive coordination with internal Company stakeholders and external project affiliates. The role may also involve being a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for designated projects and participating in contract committees, supplier meetings, and project reviews.

• Minimum 20 years of experience in EPC-type contracts for offshore projects
• Minimum 10 years of recent experience in CFT and contract administration for SPS and SURF packages

Missions / Service Dimensions

The Senior Contract Engineer will oversee global contract engineering and administration, including claims management:

SPS & SURF Package Contracts

• Support all contract and procurement activities for designated capital projects
• Draft and manage complex CFT packages (CCFT, OBE/OBT, FEED+, etc.)
• Lead tender launches, qualification, negotiation, and exception handling
• Evaluate commercial bids and recommend awards
• Advise project teams on contract management, especially in tendering and execution phases
• Ensure gate reviews and approvals are completed in due time

Project Contract Engineering Coordination

• Define and coordinate internal contract engineering methods and tools
• Coach and assist junior contract engineers within the entity
• Ensure contract governance (CFT, RTA, approvals) is applied across all assigned projects
• Maintain regular contact with project teams and represent the Procurement team in project reviews

Legal & Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the Company’s legal entity (TGP/JUR/PJE)
• Ensure coherence between legal, contract teams, and project needs

Single Point of Contact (SPOC)

• Act as SPOC for certain projects across all business branches (E&P, RC, GRP)

Claims Management

• Analyze and review contract claims and disputes
• Guide projects on active claim defense strategies
• Draft formal correspondence to contractors
• Assist in settlement discussions and build claim documentation

Lessons Learned

• Contribute to continuous improvement by consolidating REX/lessons learnt
• Share findings with the wider contract engineering community

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education

• Engineering or Legal/Business degree

Experience

• Minimum 20 years in EPC contract engineering for offshore projects
• At least 10 years of recent experience on SPS/SURF packages

Expertise

• Strong background in EPC contract preparation, negotiation, and administration
• Proven track record in claims management and dispute resolution
• In-depth knowledge of subsea packages and offshore project phases
• Experience managing large volumes of complex contracts in high-stakes environments
