QA/QC Manager

Role Overview

The Project Quality Management Engineer is responsible for supporting the Project H3SEQ Manager in implementing and continuously improving the Project Quality Management System (QMS) throughout all phases of a major ultra-deepwater development project.

Working closely with the SURF, SPS, FPSO, Drilling & Wells, Offloading and O&M package teams, the role ensures that Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes are consistently applied across the project. The position promotes continuous improvement, coordinates quality activities with Contractors, and drives performance through robust quality systems, reporting tools and KPI management.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Project Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Ensure consistent application of Company quality requirements across all project packages.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the project.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Coordinate Project QA/QC processes and associated tools.
  • Manage and monitor:
    • Non-Conformity Reports (NCR)
    • Third Party Inspections (TPI)
    • Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Ensure Quality Assurance activities are effectively implemented across all project packages.
  • Organize regular quality review meetings with package teams.
  • Monitor quality issues and ensure timely close-out of corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality risks are properly identified, assessed and mitigated.

Contractor Quality Management

  • Coordinate quality activities with Contractors and package teams.
  • Monitor Contractor compliance with project quality requirements.
  • Ensure quality information is effectively shared between Company and Contractors.
  • Participate in contractor quality audits and performance reviews.
  • Support the resolution of quality issues affecting project execution.

Performance Improvement

  • Promote a performance-driven quality culture across the project.
  • Map and review project processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Define, monitor and analyse Quality KPIs.
  • Promote LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support optimization of quality workflows and reporting systems.

Reporting & Lessons Learned

  • Prepare quality dashboards and performance reports.
  • Monitor quality performance indicators across all project packages.
  • Contribute to project close-out reports.
  • Capture and communicate lessons learned.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

HSE Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with Company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are systematically integrated into quality management processes.
  • Promote safe working practices during audits, inspections and quality reviews.
  • Support continuous improvement of both HSE and Quality performance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Quality Management certification is considered an advantage.
Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Management within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience on major offshore EPC or deepwater development projects.
  • Strong background in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and Contractors.
  • Previous experience on large international offshore developments is highly desirable.

  • Close collaboration with SURF, SPS, FPSO, Drilling & Wells, O&M and Offloading package teams throughout engineering and project execution
