SCOPE OF THE POSITION

The Subsea Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation and deployment of the subsea tooling package in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Working with a range of mature assets the Subsea Supervisor must be capable of advanced diagnostics and problem solving.

This role involves supervising contractors and service companies, ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards, whilst maintaining high-quality service delivery.

DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITIES

· Generate written work instructions based on the operations programme

· Hold pre-operation planning sessions, debriefs & capture lessons to drive operational improvement

· Supervise the preparation and testing of subsea intervention equipment onshore & offshore

· Maintain sufficient personal supervisory presence out on deck - witness/supervise specialist or critical operations

· Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and industry regulations

· Make sure Management of Change (MoC) situations are correctly identified, reported and are properly risk assessed

· Manage third-party service providers and personnel to ensure service quality, performance, and safety compliance

· Monitor job progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely execution within budget and scope

· Maintain accurate well files, daily reports, and job logs

· Ensure that all operations have been suitably risk assessed

· Conduct pre-job safety meetings & ensure all personnel are aware of operational risks & safety measures

· Make sure that instructions are adequately communicated in written or verbal form as appropriate Hold / attend pre-shift and pre-job toolbox talk meetings with personnel as required

· Ensure proper handover and coordination between shifts, across departments and between oncoming / off going crew

· Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions

· Lead by example to intervene, set standards, give feedback, and coach, and develop these behaviours in subordinate supervisors

· Provide feedback to Drilling Superintendent/Onshore Engineering team on service company performance

With the supervisory team, plan, monitor & optimise all operations to achieve safe operational efficiency

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· Valid Offshore Survival BOSIET (including CA-EBS)

· Valid Medical certification (medical fitness to work specific for job)

Preferred

· Degree qualification &/or time served in suitable engineering discipline

Legally entitled to work in Spain.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

Required

· Minimum of 20 years industry experience, including xmas tree / wellhead OEM

· Minimum 10 years experience in Subsea Supervisor role

· Experience of well abandonment operations

· Wide experience and knowledge of subsea intervention and completion systems

· Experience of ROV based intervention operations

Preferred

· Knowledge of direct hydraulic and electro-hydraulic IWOCS systems

· Experience with BOP tethering operations

· Experience of International remote operations

Onshore company representative during System Integration Testing (SIT)
