Industrial helper

Location: Leibstadt Nuclear Power Plant, Switzerland

Deployment Period: 28 April 2026 - 28 May 2026

Working Schedule: 10 hours/day, Monday to Saturday (60 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pipe fitters and steel workers during maintenance and installation tasks.
• Perform basic mechanical work, such as opening/closing flanges and manholes.
• Operate mechanical hand tools, including grinders.
• Support safe lifting and rigging activities using chain hoists under fitter supervision.
• Handle and organize materials such as gaskets, bolts, and nuts.
• Clean components including flanges, manholes, and sealing surfaces.
• Carry out simple transport and movement tasks within the work area.
• Serve as a manhole watch, preferably with German language skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial environments, ideally in power plants or similar settings.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use standard hand tools.
• Certified for work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Flair for safe handling of lifting equipment.
• Valid radiation passport and medical clearance for work in radiologically controlled areas.
• Valid Swiss work permit for 60-hour work weeks, including weekends if required.

Language Requirements

• Team Leader and Welding Specialist must be fluent in German or English.
• Manhole watch duties require German language skills.

The deployed team must be:

• Well-coordinated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Highly responsible and safety-conscious in all tasks performed.
