Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Main Activities

Ø International Commercial Right, Customs Regulation and laws;

Ø Knows the procedures of control, Customs infractions, Customs’ powers and rights and the rights of Customs investigation and local tax system;

Ø Supports the Company with analyses and suggestions during Customs investigations by sharing his/her knowledge of Regulations and Right;

Ø Manages and follow-up the processes of import e export in order to suggest activities of improvement to minimize all risks bound to Customs;

Ø Proposes, plans and manages improvement project for the development of Transit Activities in collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders;

Ø Coordinate and optimize the correct flux of materials, information and documentation accordingly to fiscal and Customs regulations;

Ø Supports during visits and necessary activities of controls carried by Public administration;

Ø Contributes in the resolution of material management material problems, improve the system of quality management and in the activities for the minimization of Customs risk;

Ø Controls on the correct application of contractual clauses with all Company’s Suppliers concerning Customs and fiscal regulation;

Ø Establish reports of analysis on the changes of the international and local regulations;

Ø To "have a general view on the objectives fixed by the society, the projects and their consequences to the level of the management of the transit;

Mandatory Certifications or Diploma:

Ø Master Degree (preferably in Legal or Economic subjects)

Skills & Experience:

Ø Masters Customs regulation, Commerce and Fiscal laws of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire

Ø Masters international trade laws and regulations

Ø at least 15 years of experience in the logistics-customs and transit field, preferably in O&G business

Ø fluency in French and English language

Ø Computer literate, particularly in the Office package, and familiarity in learning new software

Ø Ability to produce reports
