General Attributes
Mission
• To overall participate and contribute to the logistics activities related to the transportation of goods from the point of origin to the Point of Delivery agreed with the User for client project (Production, Maintenance, Production Services,…).
• Execute transportation occurring inside/outside of Norway, including importing and exporting materials in and out of Norway from/to various locations worldwide
Primary Logistics Functions
• Validate of Purchase Order (For Materials) and Service Orders (For other cargo) and Delivery Terms or INCOTERMS
• Coordiante and monitor international transportation that requires importation of goods into a country or exportation of goods on the inbound (reverse logistics) whether it is executed by Company or by Supplier
• Ensure inland transportation of materials to international ports of origin (or airports) outside of Norway and consolidate materials for shipment to Norway.
• Load and unload materials from/to trucks and rail cars delivered to consolidation points at origin.
Ensure export preservation and packing services when necessary.
• Identify and assess any special handling required for cargo such as oversize, heavy lift or dangerous goods and ensuring the fulfillment of regulatory and safety requiremts for a successful handling and transportation.
• Work with material suppliers to prepare export documentation and arrange and execute shipments by any mode or mean of transportation to Norway.
• Support, follow-up and expedite import/export customs clearance services/brokerage for all received materials within Norway.
• Provide all appropriate documentation and provision of services to facilitate customs clearance in Norway for materials imported and maintain records to comply with requirements of customs authorizations utilized on import.
• Work/Interact with Customs Authorities to facilitate customs clearance in Norway for materials imported and exported.
• Work hand in hand with the Contract Holders and Third Parties to have all the materials and equipment ready on time.
• Expedite services as defined in Company Purchase Orders on a per Purchase Order basis to ensure the delivery dates are met
• Arrange delivery of cleared shipments to Company´s offices or facilities as required.
• Implement, manage, and maintain a comprehensive system and process to monitor and track status of materials and equipment through the entire logistics chain.
• Oversee and supervise operations at consolidation points of designated export locations.
• Assisting in analyzing all potential risks to operations (customs regulation change, etc) and communicating for consolidation.
• Assume care, custody and control of materials at designated export locations.
• Plan and execute any reverse logistics required by Company where goods required to be shipped to other locations ensuring transportation from consolidation points to export dockside, Scheduling shipments as authorized by Company
• For re-exporting goods out of Norway, perform export customs clearance and brokerage, ensuring that proper and timely documentation is provided for all materials at docksideand arrange .
• Handle any customs, labor, tax, or other issues with airlines, ocean carriers, trucking companies, subcontractors, and government agencies.
• Provide status report of all incoming / outgoing shipments. Assisting in measuring and analysing operation performance (KPI) and reporting directly to Logistics Team Leader.
• Maintain a professional import-export document filing system to track all permanent and temporary imports.
• Participate in daily and weekly meetings with Logistics Manager to review tasks, shipment forecasts, pending issues, corrective action progress, collect customer expectations.
• Assisting in analysing all potential risks to operations (customs regulation change, etc) and communicating for consolidation
• Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines actions and leading logistics tracking projects
Operations Logistics Functions
Participate and contribute to operational meetings daily
• Coordinate and monitor logistics operations.
• Plan and track the shipment offshore of goods and personnel according to operational requirements.
• Plan and coordinate inspections for temporary equipment (Z-015).
• Co-coordination supply base, vessels, and helicopters.
• Close interaction with both the Drilling and Production operational teams.
• Provide reports as required.
• Actively participate and plan logistics operations for daily operations.
• Order personnel and equipment for mobilization.
• Ensure correct use of the Company provided logistics system (WELS) and ensure time planner and lookahead is properly updated and uploaded.
• Have the knowledge on the client and third-party equipment movements.
• Participate on the proposed Master Equipment Lists (MELs) prepared by the onshore operations team.
• Coordinate, compile, and complete manifests with the contract holders, rig and third parties.
• Responsible for the inventory of all client and third-party equipment being moved offshore.
• Ensure all rental equipment is backloaded and redelivered on time after use to minimise well rental costs.
• Pay special attention to the movement of radioactive sources, explosives, or hazardous chemicals. Ensure all necessary paperwork is ready and has been completed on time.
• Work with client HSE Coordinator to ensure MSDS sheets for all chemicals shipped to the rig have been received.
• Follow best practices and perform recurring visits to the Shorebase ensuring CCU’s and equipment are certified and in good condition.
• Assist DSV team with on-hire and off-hire consumable figures.
• The Logistics Coordinator should cooperate & coordinate closely with: Offshore Logistics, Geo Ops, HSE, MSL, Production dept., Drilling dept., Crane operator, Tool Pusher, Storekeeper, Offshore Operation Planner, Offshore 3rd Party Service Personnel and Onshore Logistics Duty Personnel,.
Requirements
Degree
• Bachelors or Master's degree in engineering, science, administration and business management or logistics field.
• Experience can equate for lack of formal education.
Special Knowledge required
• Skilled in a range of industry-standard software packages (SAP, Kabal, DaWinci, Office)
Professional experience
• Min 2 - 5 year specialist for Oil& Gas exploration and/or development projects.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and establish ongoing relationships and demonstrating the motivation and organization to meet demanding targets.
• Demonstrated outstanding customer orientation using strong communication skills.
• Excellent written and oral command of the English language.
• Excellent written and oral command of the Norwegian language.
Software skills
• General experience with SAP, Kabal, DaWinci, Office.
Additional requirements
• Office in Stavanger for Normal working hours.
• Availability for “on duty” schedule and located within 1h distancetime from client office in Stavanger during these period
