Main Responsibilities

The Senior Process Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and review processes of the wastewater treatment plant as part of the Al Gabal El-Asfar expansion. The role involves ensuring that process designs are aligned with international standards, optimizing plant performance, and incorporating energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.

Specific tasks include

• Reviewing and approving technical designs for wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
• Overseeing process design aspects during the construction phase, ensuring that the facility meets the required specifications.
• Collaborating with the Process Engineering Expert and other team members to ensure consistency across all design elements.
• Managing and optimizing the treatment plant’s operational processes, particularly focusing on sludge management and anaerobic digestion.
• Providing technical guidance and problem-solving support during both the design and operational phases.
• Utilizing computer technology to analyze process data, maintain accurate records, and generate detailed reports.
• Ensuring all design and operational changes are implemented in accordance with the project’s goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in environmental engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in process design for wastewater treatment plants, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role.
• Proven experience in at least two similar projects involving the design or review of wastewater treatment processes.
• Strong technical knowledge in the design and implementation of wastewater treatment facilities, including anaerobic digestion.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology and software for process design and analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
