Main Responsibilities

The Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the detailed hydraulic design and optimization of the wastewater treatment plant’s hydraulic systems as part of the Al Gabal El-Asfar expansion project. This includes managing the design aspects related to water flow, drainage, and the hydraulic interaction of various treatment systems.

Specific tasks include

• Leading the detailed design of hydraulic systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and international standards.
• Reviewing and approving hydraulic designs and drawings submitted by contractors and ensuring their adherence to the project requirements.
• Providing technical support during construction, ensuring the hydraulic designs are implemented correctly and efficiently.
• Conducting hydraulic performance assessments and recommending system optimizations to improve efficiency and sustainability.
• Working closely with the Hydraulic Engineering Expert and other team members to integrate hydraulic designs with other systems in the plant.
• Preparing reports on the hydraulic system’s performance and any design modifications during the project.
• Ensuring that all designs are in line with the environmental and sustainability goals of the project.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or hydraulic engineering, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in hydraulic design or environmental engineering.
• At least 12 years of experience in hydraulic design for large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in wastewater treatment.
• Proven experience in at least two similar projects related to the design of wastewater treatment plants.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic modeling tools and design software.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing detailed hydraulic design documents and ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is an asset).
