Project manager – EV charging infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Define, structure, and implement technical and operational processes for managing EV charging infrastructure.
  • Lead improvement projects using PMI or Prince2 methodologies, ensuring clear planning, defined scope, measurable deliverables, and effective budget tracking.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, technology, IT) and external partners (suppliers, software providers).
  • Establish KPI dashboards and reporting (e.g. availability, MTTR, energy consumption, SLA performance).
  • Manage change during the introduction of new tools and processes.
  • Conduct risk and compliance analyses aligned with AREI, ISO, and NEN standards.
  • Develop knowledge-sharing systems and technical training documentation for operational teams.
  • Ensure stable, secure, and sustainable operations of the EV charging network.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Expertise (5+ years) in large-scale EV charging infrastructure process implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of charging technology, medium-voltage networks, and power distribution systems.
  • Hands-on experience with digital systems such as ticketing and asset management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills for process and KPI analysis.
  • Proficiency in project management within industrial or energy environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch (C2 level required).

  • Project direction and supervision - Expert (≥10 years)
  • PMI / Prince2 methodology - Required
  • Higher education (Master or Bachelor’s degree) - Required
  • Dutch language proficiency (C2) - Required
  • Experience in industrial or energy project environments - Preferred
  • Master's degree in (Electro)mechanics, Industrial Sciences, Energy, or equivalent - Preferred

Additional Information

  • Primary work location: Mechelen headquarters, with occasional travel across Flanders.
  • Hybrid/remote work possible.
  • Maximum of 9 working hours per day.
  • Travel costs are included in the all-inclusive daily rate.
  • Annual rate adjustment may apply based on indexation.
  • Alcohol, drug, and medication policy in place, including preventive testing.
