Main Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineering Expert will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design, review, and implementation of electrical systems for the Al Gabal El-Asfar Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion. This includes ensuring that all electrical components, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation, are designed and implemented in accordance with project specifications and international standards.

Specific tasks include

• Leading the review and approval of electrical designs and drawings for the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
• Supervising the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Ensuring that electrical systems, including power supply, control panels, SCADA systems, and backup systems, are designed for optimal efficiency and reliability.
• Providing technical support and guidance to contractors during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Collaborating with mechanical, hydraulic, and civil engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other plant components.
• Preparing reports on the performance and status of electrical systems and recommending any necessary modifications to improve system performance.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards for all electrical work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with postgraduate qualifications in a related field (e.g., power systems, control systems).
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment or similar infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in at least three similar projects involving the design and implementation of electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using electrical design software and analyzing system performance.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
