Level Industrial Engineer Technician

Responsibilities

  • Comply with HSE principles, policies and procedures whilst challenging each of these to ensure optimum delivery of a safe shutdown.
  • Responsible for setting and achieving KPI’s for the shutdown function
  • Development of scope of works and support of planning activities related to turnarounds and outages.
  • Track all Pre shutdown preparation works through a periodic shutdown meetings
  • Ensures required maintenance information is being captured correctly in designated systems
  • Assistance with scheduling of the shutdown plan to optimize POB and resource levels. Developing the POB Mobilization plan
  • Ensure work orders and order associated materials are raised for shutdown in good time
  • Organize and lead Workshops to rank all activities detailed in Shutdown/project Work list
  • Work with the Inspection team to accomplish internal inspection schedule
  • Ensure that method statements for Process flushing and purging, ensuring full engagement with Operation and Process Engineers
  • Ensures all work order closures are managed effectively, including the completion of relevant shutdown & maintenance documentation
  • Gate keeper of scope additions / deletions procedure and register
  • Monitor progress of all Shutdown/project Milestones and all activities to ensure planned delivery dates are achieved
  • Provide status reports for the current year shutdown execution plan
  • Lead daily shutdown meetings during the shutdown period, principally the following stages - Initial shutdown, Drain, Flush, Purge, Vent and Isolate, Scope completion, N2 Leak Testing, Line Walking and plant Line Up, Process Start Up, Update shutdown/project action Tracker
  • Collate all shutdown/project Lessons Learned and update register
  • Organize the Shutdown Wash-up’s and lessons learned sessions
  • Responsible for maintaining historical records for shutdown.

Qualifications & Experience

  • More than 10 years of relevant work experience in a skilled maintenance role required.
  • Proven experience as Area Lead during TAR (shutdown) or major inspections of equipments/facilities. As well in commissioning and start up.
  • Experience working within the TAR (Shutdown) team developing detailed work packs for the regulatory shutdowns.
  • Experience in maintaining industrial equipment, preferably in chemical plant maintenance, refinery or power plant.
  • Knowledge of API Normative.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze problems and provide accurate solutions (lead RCA investigations)
  • The ability to read/understand all mechanical P&I, schematic wiring diagrams & understand Area Classification Constraints.
  • Familiarity with the appropriate American & European Codes & Standards.
  • More than 5 years experience with CMMS (SAP or MAXIMO). Able to order materials, create work orders and Preventive Plans, BOMs, etc
  • High standard of safety awareness.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, Ms Project and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Complex Problem Solving. Systematic approach to troubleshooting & diagnosing problems associated with machinery installations or with the CMMS
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance activities.

  • Ability to understand oral and written instruction and read maps and drawings.
  • Interpersonal. Capacity to develop good working relationships with superiors, subordinates and other employees within the organization.
  • Personal: Ability to solve problems in a logical way.
  • Self Management: Able to adjust priorities in a changing work environment. Able to work without direct supervision.
  • Team Management: Able to fit into a multi-cultural team: well developed coaching skills are required.
  • Industrial Mechanical Engineering Diploma
  • High Level Certificate in spoken & written English.
  • Basic knowledge in French is recommended
  • Algerian or International Driving License
  • Advanced knowledge in asset health monitoring and interface applications with DCS (Uniformance/eServer/…) to support during start-up is recommended.
