Objectives of the Organization
- Accomplish exploration activity in Deepwater Block 4E, with due consideration for HSE, by proper management and timely execution of the project as the operator in cooperation with the joint venture partners.
- Accomplish exploration activity in Block SK418 and Block SK510 by proper management and timely execution of the project in cooperation with the joint venture partners.
- Achieve early growths of Malaysia business as one of core areas of INPEX Group, (i) actively seek for new business opportunity, (ii) enhance the capability and competency of personnel in the KL Office, and (iii) expand the organization in line with the progress of the projects. Contribute to business operation and development aimed at early development and realization of production and establishment of low-carbon business in Malaysia.
Job Objectives
- Contribute to the objectives of the organization through.
- Leading a planning for drilling project and managing a well operation for the drilling fluids and cementing services and engineering requirements for the interest of the company and operations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Candidate experienced working with established operator or drilling fluids company with good performance report.
- Experience working with PETRONAS or in PSCs will be an advantage.
- Plan and implement drilling fluids engineering works, cementing and well bore stability analysis through supervision, application of fit-for-purpose technology, recommendations and advisory to the project team and to ensure safe and cost-effective implementation towards maximum value creation.
Shall have required qualifications, experience and competencies:
- Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a drilling fluid engineer or technician, and minimum of five (5) years in an offshore environment.
- Experience working in Malaysia and ensuring compliance with PETRONAS, JV and Company requirements.
- Experience with subsea well testing is preferred.
- Experience liaising with liquid mud plants and drilling fluids and cementing providers.
- Experience working in a team with diverse culture.
- Fluent in English language both Written & Spoken and preferably Bahasa Malaysia language
- Preferably BEng in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
