University Degree in chemical, process engineering, mechanical or other engineering discipline.
Minimum 10 years experience in plant operation, maintenance or process / production engineering associated with Oil & Gas industry.
Understanding of Process Safety Management is required.
Familiar with process hazards analysis, consequences assessment and risk assessment tools.
Demonstrated ability to proactively apply engineering and problem solving skills to meet complex process safety issues and challenging business objectives.
Ability to develop innovative ideas and risk-based solutions that go beyond current knowledge.
Good command of technical English language.
Providing supervision to contractors or less experienced engineers, advises local operations during implementation of process safety with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice.
Detailed knowledge of HAZOP & HAZID techniques; safety barriers and their assessment.
The ability to share knowledge and skills when required and support and motivate others to achieve project goals. Self-motivated, team player and capable of working in remote locations in a multi-cultural environment.
Key aspects of the job will be keen safety awareness and advocacy, multi-discipline technical team leadership, coaching and mentoring, evaluation and assessment, planning and coordination of work within a simultaneous operations environment, having technical expertise relevant to design and operation of assigned systems and liaising with all involved parties, contractors and field personnel.
Good communication and social skills, effective across a broad spectrum of nationalities and cultures.
Excellent knowledge of company- and international standards i.e. HSSE, Operations, Fabrication, Construction & Commissioning.
