Senior Production Engineer

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Production Engineering & Optimization

• Define and implement production engineering strategies aligned with the Field Development Plan
• Optimize well and field performance for both producers and injectors
• Maximize recovery while minimizing operational costs and risks

Well Performance & Design

• Perform production engineering studies including:
  • Nodal analysis
  • Tubing size selection
  • Metallurgy selection
  • Production envelope and critical rate analysis
• Design and optimize:
  • Sandface completions
  • Sand control solutions (e.g., CHFP, CHGP)

Artificial Lift & Flow Assurance

• Design and optimize Artificial Lift Systems, particularly ESPs
• Evaluate well performance and recommend lift strategies
• Ensure integration between well design and production systems

Integrated Production System Modelling

• Contribute to dynamic reservoir simulation through production inputs (VFPs)
• Perform integrated production system modelling
• Optimize production systems across reservoir, wells, and facilities

Facilities & Gathering Systems

• Support design and optimization of:
  • Subsea gathering systems
  • Surface production systems
• Contribute to:
  • Production testing
  • Back allocation methodologies

Project & Business Support

• Support corporate business planning and resource management processes
• Participate in internal and external technical review meetings
• Contribute to development planning and decision-making processes

• Ensure all activities comply with Company HSES standards and regulatory requirements
• Promote safe production practices across wells and facilities
• Identify and mitigate operational risks

Ethics & Compliance

• Ensure all activities comply with Company ethics and compliance policies
• Complete all required compliance training

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• Master’s degree is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in production engineering / production technology
• Strong experience in offshore and subsea development projects
• Proven experience in field development planning and production optimization

• Strong expertise in:
  • Nodal analysis
  • Integrated production system modelling
  • Production optimization
  • Field surveillance
  • Production testing and back allocation
• Strong experience in:
  • Sandface completion design
  • Sand control technologies (CHFP, CHGP)
• Artificial lift systems:
  • ESP design and optimization
• Software proficiency:
  • PETEX suite (PROSPER, GAP, etc.)
  • Gohfer
  • Coflow
  • Autograph

• Ability to integrate reservoir, well, and facilities performance
• Strong understanding of offshore production systems
• Experience supporting development and operational decision-making

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong collaboration with technical and operational stakeholders

• Fluent English required (minimum B2 level)
• Spanish is a plus
