Rig Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

The Rig Operations Manager (office based) will be responsible for the Onshore Workover Drilling Rigs in East Aftica.

• Position Title : Rig Operations Manager (Rig Manager / office based)
• Work Location : Onshore, East Africa
• Rig Type : Drilling & Workover Oil Drilling Rig (750 HP).
• Rotation : 28 Days ON / 28 Days OFF.

Functions:

• To manage the rig(s) and rig personnel in a manner fully compliant with Drilling QHSE policies and procedures.
• To provide drilling and support services to the customer and manage the rig(s) as a profit and quality performance centre.
• To organize and follow up maintenance schedules.
• To coordinate for logistics and equipment supply in timely manner.
• To manage rig crew rotation schedule and logistics.
• To support rig site on operations in daily basis.

Profile:

• University Degree in Engineering/similar subject or suitable operations experience
• IADC well control (Supervisory) or IWCF certificate (Level 4)
• IADC rig pass (if available)
• Rigging & lifting Technique.
• Banksman & slinger
• Standard signal, Basic H2S,
• Respiratory Protective Equipment Training (SCBA, SAR)
• Authorized Gas Tester
• Defensive Driving
• Root Cause Analysis
• First Aid-CPR.

Industry Experience: Minimum fifteen (15) Years of Drilling Industry experience of Oil & Gas well drilling.

Present position Experience: Minimum five (5) Years experience in the present position (as Rig Manager or Operations Manager).
