Process Engineer for Process Application Development – PI-AF (PI Asset Framework)

• Location: Rogerville, Normandy, France (with possible travel to Antwerp, Belgium, and Lyon, France)

• Status: On-site

Key Responsibilities

Development and Standardization

• Develop generic PI-AF templates for various use cases, such as:
  • Energy monitoring of units.
  • Process unit templates.
  • Equipment templates.
• Create visualization tools (PI Vision dashboards) and/or reporting tools (Excel or other platforms) as per end-user requirements.
• Document all development processes and templates to ensure proper knowledge transfer and usability.

Process Support

• Collaborate with Process Business teams to identify, clarify, and challenge needs to ensure standardized solutions.
• Structure data in a way that promotes easy reuse across other projects.

Functional and Technical Analysis

• Gather documentation from Business teams, sites, and IT (e.g., Excel files, existing AF models, business guides, and manuals).
• Conduct scoping workshops with IT or Business teams to understand the project stage and define requirements.
• Draft and validate functional analyses (including calculations to be integrated) with Business teams (in English).

Implementation and Validation

• Develop and test models using live tags on a pilot implementation.
• Build visualization tools using PI Vision and assist with Excel reporting tools.
• Validate proposed models and results with Business teams, incorporating corrections as needed.
• Deploy finalized models to production.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Must-Have Skills

• Proficiency in PI-AF and PI-Vision, including template development and modeling.
• Strong background in chemical engineering with process-related expertise.
• Experience in developing functional specifications and conducting technical validations.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS SNS, Inspector, Secret Manager, or Athena for querying data.
• Familiarity with branch management in tools like Databricks or similar platforms.
