Main Responsibilities
Lead and manage the planning team of the Surface Direction (including potential recruitment)
Interface with EPCC contractors for all planning, scheduling, and progress tracking activities
Review, comment, and approve EPCC contractor schedules, procedures, progress reports, and change orders
Review and validate weekly and monthly contractor progress reports related to planning
Develop and maintain the Surface Direction Master Schedule
Conduct critical path analysis and set up progress measurement systems with the Project Control Manager and planners
Manage updates and revisions of schedules including interface milestones, tracking EPC progress and impacts
Ensure timely generation and issuance of progress reports; configure P6 layouts and coding structures for planners
Generate “what-if” scenarios and alternate schedules to support package managers
Provide risk analysis data when required by the project
Maintain high-quality project planning data
Continuously improve planning procedures and shared processes with contractor authorities
Implement and maintain effective project control and progress methodologies
Work closely with all project team members and stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
Engineering or Business degree (or equivalent)
Relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
Prior experience in Senior or Planning Engineer roles in EPCC contract environments
Experience on high-capital, multidisciplinary projects
Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 v7
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English and French
