- Perform “specialty” studies related with well log quantitative interpretation, Gas While Drilling (GWD) & petrophysical synthesis (petrophysical groups, Sw laws, petrophysical logs, Bore Hole Imagery, facies & permeability modelling). Communicate & cooperate with other services.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Perform & ensure well log data quality control (QC) & validation. Choose, perform & validate tools environmental corrections as well as data depth control and match before any use.
- Detect & assess reservoirs petrophysical properties & their fluid content using the available well data, valorize & integrate all well data
- Characterize of the formation petrophysical properties (NTG, mineralogy, PHI, Sw, Kperm…), fluid content (Oil, Gas, Water…) facies interpretation (Electro-Facies) & formation petrophysical synthesis (Sw laws from Pc, Petrophysical groups & logs, Bore Hole Imagery, permeability modelling…)
- Evaluate Gas While Drilling data (GWD) & participate in the fluid synthesis together with Fluid characterization & pressure data
- Use the appropriate & specific interpretation/modelling techniques & tools of the specialty
- Ensure the good agreement between core measurements & log data interpretation
- Ensure the respect of the timing in the studies involved
- Actively communicate with the studies requesters & specialty management about the status of the study & any unexpected issue that arise
- Write the appropriate documents (Reports, Memos, Presentation) to communicate & present studies results for internal or external (out of specialty) purposes
- Organize, prepare & participate in the studies Kick Off Meeting (KOM)
- Coach & support junior & confirmed staff
Required Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor of Science
- 10+ year experience
- Good working knowledge of English language
