Context & Environment
Perform services within the offshore marine department, supporting global marine operations.
Main Activities
Provide technical support and assistance in the area of DP assurance for critical offshore marine operations (e.g. drilling rigs, diving support vessels, floaters, construction vessels, DP shuttle tankers).
This will include but not be limited to:
- Review vessels DP documentation and standards against Company rules,
- Issue recommendations for corrective actions and/or improvements,
- Provide technical support and arguments for projects to have marine contractor implementing the recommendations
- Conduct call for tender technical analysis and issue recommendations for contractor selection
- Provide ad-hoc marine advice and consultancy as and when required
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience of at least half as Master or Chief Engineer on a DP offshore support vessel/asset
- Fluent in English
- Hold or have held Merchant Marine Master or Chief Engineer certification (unlimited tonnage / power)
- Hold or have held OVID accreditation will be considered as an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of shore-based experience in an industry leading marine consultancy company with proven track record of leading DP proving trials on complex vessels (e.g. drilling rigs, diving support or construction vessels)
