CONTRACTOR’s PERSONNEL is accountable for the following activities:
Support the Mechanical Superintendent to ensure work progress in the dedicated area of his/her discipline. Ensure that EPC Contractors/Subcontractors progress on the appropriate high-priority work-fronts as per schedule.
Support the Mechanical Superintendent supervising and monitoring EPC Contractors/Subcontractors activities related to the scope in order to ascertain that the equipment installation will be done as per drawings, specifications, procedures, HSE and Quality requirements and expectations.
Ensure flow of information is effective between Construction Team, Commissioning Team and the rest of the Project team as required.
Liaise with all the Superintendents and Supervisors to make sure that the construction complies with all Project Design Documentation, with COMPANY Standards and Procedures, and with applicable international Codes, Standards and Practices.
Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy, maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and COMPANY HSE standards, actively participate in COMPANY safety awareness and initiative schemes.
Ensure package installation has been performed correctly and that pre-commissioning is completed and formally recorded into ICAPS system.
Ensure EPC Contractor’s resources, tools and equipment’s are adequate to achieve expected level of equipment installation.
ACTIVITIES
Compliance with the HSE instructions, rules and procedures in force for compliance with the HSE contractual clauses and other documents governing ties with the contractors
Intervene and coordinate on any HSE concern or issue with HSE team, and to immediately report to Mechanical package superintendent and HSE team in case of any accident/incident happened.
Monitor equipment installation (static and rotating), such as machinery assemblies, baseplates level-ling, machinery alignment, pipe to machinery nozzle connections, etc… according to API686 recommend-ed practices.
Ensure Lessons Learned issues from past projects are taken into consideration for Project.
Provide technical assistance and coordination accordingly to the project requirements related to discipline
Support the Mechanical Superintendent on site ensuring that the EPC Contractor is fully conversant with all COMPANY project related standards and procedures.
Identify & analyse the weak points which penalize the productivity and propose corrective actions.
Maintain good relationship with EPC Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
Keep the Mechanical Superintendent informed of all events which may affect the successful completion of the project goals.
Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress
Liaise with CPY Pre-Com / ICAPS team -Perform, witness, monitor PRE-Commissioning activities.
Interface with Structure and Piping supervisors at site for managing co activities and technical interfaces.
Ensure the protection of the environment and the monitoring of Project environmental performances.
Participate in daily/weekly/monthly meetings as required
Monitor progress and compile necessary reports (daily/weekly/monthly) related to his/her discipline and scope for the Mechanical Superintendent
Act on behalf of the Mechanical Superintendent during his absence when requested.
Supervise the following interfaces and ensure that COMPANY / Project standards and procedures are fully aligned:
Company & Construction Contractor
Construction Contractor / Sub-contractors
Vendor representatives & construction site personnel
To carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors. If required by management, the Supervisor will have to work during weekend and/or night shift during critical activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Have strong working knowledge & experience of construction yard.
Professional Experience (number of years): 10.
Construction, Pre-comm, Quality Inspection experience is required for projects.
Ideal candidate shall have good knowledge on various preservation practices, rotating machinery installation practices, risk & hazards associated and mitigation measures.
A good knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry Standards and International codes/standards related to rotating machinery and associated component’s
Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications. Familiar with PRODOM/MANASA a benefit
Mandatory language is English & Local language based on EPC location (Mandarin for WHP and CPP, Korean for CPP
