Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our client’s team in the Oil & Gas Downstream sector. This is a key role for time-served professionals who have extensive experience in the maintenance and inspection of refinery and petrochemical plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical systems to identify faults or potential issues
- Repair or replace defective parts, including fittings, gaskets, seals, and components
- Work on critical plant assets such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, atmospheric columns, furnaces, and boilers
- Maintain and repair associated piping systems and mechanical fittings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards
- Complete maintenance logs and documentation as required
Candidate Profile
- Time-served Mechanical Fitter, ideally with an Ordinary National Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or Millwright trade
- A minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience in refinery or petrochemical plant maintenance
- Solid background in maintaining complex mechanical systems and equipment in industrial environments
- Proven expertise in working with heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, furnaces, boilers, and pipework
- Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and quality workmanship
