Context & Environment
In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.
Main Activities
Ø Ensure maintenance costs are optimized by effective utilization of maintenance expertise and spares support infrastructure as well as the implementation of the maintenance management system.
Ø Prepare the maintenance procedures and specifications according to Company strategies
Ø Promote equipment upgrading, investigation of causes of extensive wear, breakdowns analysis and development of preventive actions to increase the reliability.
Ø Promote and assure the continuous improvement of the maintenance process following the field feedbacks
Ø Following-up and controlling the testing and commissioning of new / modified equipment, systems and machinery
Ø Diagnosing faults and trends and taking or recommending appropriate corrective action
Ø Contributing to the development of and updating of a formal maintenance system for Production Facilities
Qualifications & Experience:
Ø Degree BSc / BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering disciplines
Ø 5 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance in Oil and gas industry
o Knowledge of metallurgical, corrosion, NDT
o Decay prevention, and repair techniques
o Pressure vessels, piping, and machinery
o Rotating machinery problem solving
Ø Production Operations: Maintenance Management, Predictive Maintenance
Ø Maintenance Operations: Mechanical Maintenance, Telecommunication Maintenance,
Ø Instrumentation Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Troubleshooting techniques knowledge
Ø Maintenance Engineering: CMMS Activities, Maintenance systems and policies knowledge
Ø Specialist Knowledge: Engineering knowledge in the specialist activity
Ø Organization Processes: Internal Standard
Required Competencies
Ø Planning target control; Excellence orientation; Communication; Listening and reception
Ø Previous experience in the upstream O&G industry with exposures to offshore and onshore projects
Ø Previous experience in CMMS system (SAP)
Ø Significant hands-on experience within a variety of facilities engineering settings
Ø Deep knowledge of maintenance process and projects investment process
Ø Good communication in English (verbal and written).
