Job Purpose

The FMWR Engineering Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising engineering activities related to Fast Moving Workover Rig (FMWR) operations for offshore/onshore oil & gas projects. The role ensures safe, efficient, and technically compliant execution of workover and well intervention activities while coordinating between engineering, operations, logistics, contractors, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities related to FMWR operations and well intervention programs.
• Supervise planning, mobilization, execution, and demobilization of workover rigs.
• Ensure compliance with COMPANY specifications, international standards, and HSE procedures.
• Review and approve technical documentation, engineering drawings, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with drilling, production, construction, logistics, and subcontractor teams.
• Monitor rig performance, operational KPIs, NPT, and cost efficiency.
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving during operations.
• Ensure implementation of risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and safety procedures.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical reports and progress updates.
• Interface with client representatives, service companies, and vendors.
• Support optimization of operational efficiency and reduction of downtime.
• Ensure proper reporting of daily activities, lessons learned, and operational incidents.

Technical Scope

• Fishing & milling operations
• Wellhead maintenance
• Stimulation and recompletion activities
• Rig move logistics
• Offshore/onshore operational support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in workover rig or well intervention operations.
• Offshore project experience is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of:

  • HSE standards and permit systems
  • Engineering coordination procedures
