The Engineering Manager shall take ownership of the Project design at FEED/EXECUTE and assume responsibility for ensuring that the wells and associated facilities are designed and planned to ensure a safe and predictable build, test and start-up, with due regard for quality and operability, ensuring maximum value is obtained for the client.
The Engineering Manager shall ensure that all work and assurance is carried out in accordance with the client management systems and associated procedures. This includes the internal stage gate process (Define to Execute and Execute to Operate)
The Engineering Manager shall lead the engineering service support contracts, and will work closely with HSE, Quality, Subsurface, Commercial and Operational functions throughout the project.
The Engineering Manager shall manage processes to deliver, monitor and review engineering outputs to support the programme schedule, budget, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
The Engineering Manager should manage the system required to review design activities and provide professional functional leadership for engineering within the Project.
The Engineering Manager shall be based in theclient offices (hybrid mode) or FEED Contractors office until FID (UK-based) and then transition to the Joint Venture offices (Algeria based, 28×28 rotational basis) for Execute Phase.
Qualifications
Chartered Engineer.
University degree in engineering.
E&P Operator experience on large programmes/projects.
Work knowledge of French would be beneficial but is not essential.
Extensive Facilities Engineering experience on Projects with an E&P Operator is essential.
Skills & Experience
Track record of setting HSE targets and expectations and leading by example.
Proven track record of successfully leading the engineering for capital projects across all phases of development with a particular focus on FEED and Detailed Design.
Experience 15+ years of experience in the upstream Oil and Gas Industry.
Possesses the technical authority to manage a range of technical people and contractors. Team leadership and coordination and direction of a group encompassing a diverse group of staff/contractors.
Project/facilities standards, legislation knowledge and experience.
