Telecom engineer

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all HSE guidelines and proactively encourage an HSE culture
• Provide project management and coordination of all telecommunications delivery activities
• Assure smooth transition to operations for relevant services
• Manage the maintenance and support of Telecommunications services, namely:
• SDH systems
• Satellite and mobile radio systems
• Telephone Exchanges
• TV Entertainment systems
• FO network
• Radio communication network
• SCADA system
• Promote and development working relationships with AT (Algerie Telecom) and other telecommunications agencies and suppliers.
• Manage the interface with the AT/Mobilis for the WAN links
• Liaise with the AT/Mobilis on the solution of service problems and the improvement of the existing services
• Provide assurance to the business on adherence to standards and processes
• Improve current telecomms services by sponsoring or executing service improvement projects aimed at improving functionality, achieving cost efficiency, increasing reliability or delivering new infrastructure.

Specialist Skills and Experience desired

• ompetent design and maintenance engineering skills in:
• Satellite
• Radio
• Fibre Optic
• SCADA
• Cisco routers
• TV entertainment system
• Understanding of the Oil and Gas industry as it pertains to telecommunication requirements
• Strong interpersonal and customer facing skills
• Languages: English, French and Arabic
